Feature: Job status and progress
See whether your audit is waiting for documents, in progress, ready, or failed.
Purpose
After you pay or use a credit, each audit is a job on your account. You can see whether it is waiting for documents, in progress, ready, or failed.
Cost and entitlements
Status tracking is included with a paid audit or Hunter credit. It is not a separate product.
What you will see
/account— job list: address (or “Address not set”), Standard / Hunter Pack / Re-audit, status. While analysis is running: stage name, a one-line meaning, typical remaining time (for example “Typically 5–10 minutes remaining. Not a guarantee.”), and a stage bar — not a percentage/jobs/:jobId— same progress block, plus a short stage list, file results when they exist- While you stay signed in, the pages refresh on their own. You do not need to keep the tab open for progress to continue.
- When analysis finishes: Your audit is ready with View report
- When it cannot finish: This audit could not be completed (job id only — no quotes from your files)
Statuses you may see: Awaiting upload, Queued, Reading documents, Analysing, Preparing report, Ready, Failed.
In-progress meanings:
- Queued — Waiting to start reading your documents.
- Reading documents — Extracting text from the PDFs you uploaded.
- Analysing — Checking the contract and disclosure against Australian property rules.
- Preparing report — Removing personal details and assembling the report.
Rules that affect you
- Progress is stored on the job. Leaving the page does not lose it.
- Upload is only available while the job is Awaiting upload.
- Typical remaining time is not a guarantee. Scanned PDFs, five large files, or a busy period can take longer.
- A completion email is not sent yet — watch Account or the job page.
Important wording
“Your audit is ready” · “This audit could not be completed” · “Contact support with the job id only. Do not send contract files.” · “Typically 5–10 minutes remaining. Not a guarantee.” (and the shorter typical remaining lines per stage)

Job-complete email. File-by-file accept/reject reasons after processing (the table is ready; rows appear when that data is stored).
Edge cases
