How to upload documents for an audit

Attach up to five PDFs to your job, accept both warranties, and submit so your audit can start.

Summary

On the product app, open the job’s upload page, attach 1 to 5 PDFs, accept both warranties, and submit. Success is a return to your account once processing has started.

Who this is for

Signed-in buyers with a job waiting for documents (after Standard payment or a Hunter credit job).

When to use

After checkout succeeds and you have a job to upload against.

Prerequisites

  • Signed in
  • PDFs of the contract / disclosure (and related reports if you have them), up to 5 files
  • Files must be for the same address as the job

Time and cost

Included in the audit you already paid for. No extra fee at upload.

Before you start

You will see a retention line and two required checkboxes (document warranty and not legal advice). Submit stays off until both are checked and PDFs are selected.

Steps

  1. Go to /jobs/:jobId/upload for that job.
  2. Choose files — PDF only, up to 5.
  3. Optional: paste a listing URL.
  4. Read the retention line.
  5. Check Document warranty.
  6. Check Not legal advice.
  7. Optional: if you left the listing URL blank, you may tick the listing-limited acknowledgement.
  8. Submit documents.

What you will see

File picker labelled Documents (PDF, up to 5), selected names, optional Listing URL, retention copy, two required checkboxes, optional listing-limited acknowledgement, Submit documents, Back to account.

Outcomes

  • Success: your account page, processing has started
  • “This job could not be found.” / “You don’t have access to this job.” — go back to your account and try again
  • “None of the uploads could be used.” — check the files and try again
  • “This job already has an upload in progress or complete.” — refresh your account page
  • “Upload PDF files only.” / “You can upload up to 5 files.” / “Add 1 to 5 PDF files.”
  • Guests: sign-in first
