How to create an account

Create an account, accept the Terms and Privacy Policy, and get ready to buy an audit.

Summary

Create a PreSign account on the product app (app.) before checkout. You must accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Success lands on /account (or the page you were heading to).

Who this is for

Buyers who need a Standard Audit or Hunter Pack.

When to use

Before checkout. Marketing Start your audit in the navy header (home, How it works, What we check, Hunter Pack, Roadmap, Security, and property Risk Preview) goes to /register on the product app. How it works and Security also use that label on the close. For buyers uses Create an account on the close. Those navy headers also have Log in.

I agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. I understand the Service provides automated information only and does not create a lawyer–client relationship or provide legal advice.

Steps

  1. Go to /register on the product app (app.).
  2. Enter email and password (password at least 8 characters).
  3. Check the Terms + Privacy box. Links open the marketing site Terms and Privacy pages in a new tab (draft copy until go-live). Create account stays disabled until this box is checked.
  4. Optional: check “Send me occasional product emails. You can unsubscribe at any time.”
  5. Create account — on success you are signed in and sent to /account (or the in-app page you were heading to).
  6. Continue with Google (only when that button is shown) — the Terms box must be checked first.

If Google created the account without a stored Terms acceptance, /register shows Accept Terms → Save and continue.

What you will see

  • Email, password
  • Required Terms/Privacy checkbox with legal links
  • Optional marketing opt-in checkbox
  • Create account (disabled until Terms checked and fields valid)
  • Continue with Google (hidden unless Google sign-in is available; disabled until Terms checked)
  • Link: Already have an account? Sign in
  • Errors: missing Terms, duplicate email, “Too many attempts — wait and retry.”, generic failure (we do not echo whether an email exists except the duplicate-account message)

Outcomes

  • Success: signed in; redirect to /account or your original in-app page
  • Duplicate email: “An account with this email already exists. Sign in instead.”
  • Terms not accepted: same Terms checkbox message
  • Rate limited: “Too many attempts — wait and retry.” — wait about 10 seconds

None at registration (transactional mail starts at checkout or when a job completes).

What we never do

  • Create an account without Terms acceptance
  • Treat the service as legal advice
